Yes, on saturday the Rotaract Monza, with the work of Francesco, Davide and Paolo (and my computer-help making the flyer) organized a nice and funny Poker Tournament in the restaurant Fossati of Canonica al Lambro (MI).
We played the Texas Hold’em version and we were in 27 people so we splitted in 3 tables of 9 people each one. The rules were simple: everybody was starting with 240 points in chips and the last three men standing in the table were able to go to the final against the other 6 finalists.

In the qualification, I won and I was also the chip-leader ot my table and for not so many points (I had 1160 points and the chip-leader had 1257) I was quite the chip-leader of the tournament.

After the fine dining (that wasn’t surprising us because Ristorante Fossati is famous since years for his great food), we started the final that least for 2 hours and a half but at the end…. I WAS THE WINNER!! I won with a full house without having even a couple in my hands.. i know, that’s a lot of luck

So, right now I have a cup and a nice set of chips and cards in a beautiful and professional case.

After one week of development (and even one night until 4 a.m.) the result is really great, as you can see here.
The Arc group of Torino made all the site, I had just to care about the Javascript for the homepage and “My Homepage”. You will see that every box is draggable and closable (with some cute effects).
All of that could be possible using the Mootools framework, a really nice piece of code that allows you to do almost everything with Javascript. The main developer is Valerio Proietti, a smart italian guy.

Ok, now, and only now, I can believe to all the videos I saw on YouTube of people playing as freaks with the Nintendo Wii.. Yesterday we went to Roby’s new apartment and I had the genial idea to bring my Wii! The results are those:

Ok here I am after the last five days in Hong Kong with my baby…
The city is nice, I’ve been there when it was still a British colony and I have to say that it’s changed a lot: now is a small China, or, at least, a “future version” of China (with more rights and more money).
It’s amazing to see the cross-walks at the traffic lights….two million people moving everywhere, so many people that is even hard to walk in the center!
We’ve been in the nice amusement park “Ocean Park” that is kinda famous all over the south Asia (even Coca-Cola makes special cans for celebrating the 30th anniversary of the park!) and, most of all, we’ve been in the “Electronic Market”… The heaven for me! Everything you want, you could find there at a price that is close, or even less, than half of the price in Europe!
At the end, i bought:

• A modified Nintendo Wii
• Another Wii-Mote and Nunchuck
• 1gb DDR2 667 So-DIMM ram for my MacBook Pro
• A Matrix-LCD screen / badge to use with my Linux server screen-less
• A lot of cables for iPod and Nokia N80
• A Nintendo DS with two cards to play with “backed up” games
• A million other stuffs impossible to find here but so cool

At the end, I enjoyed the city just because I was with my baby, for sure!
